HIE Engineers and Builders was founded nearly 60 years ago resulting in substantial experience and expertise in what we do. HIE has successfully engineered, evaluated, and built structures of all sizes for clients throughout Colorado’s front range. Our integrated approach to structural design, consultation, and structural framing/concrete allows us to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

While HIE has experience in many types of structures, we specialize in the design, consultation, and construction of wood and steel frame structures supported by concrete foundations, serving both residential and commercial buildings.

OUR HISTORY

Since our founding in 1965 by Harvey Kolesar (adjacent photo), HIE has been helping the front range solve their most challenging problems when it comes to their homes. HIE was initially formed as an engineering firm that concentrated on property inspections. Since then, we’ve added expertise in many different areas, but still provide the same unparalleled level of service and expertise related to our inspections as we have since day one.
